This is a great choice if you are looking for a basic robot cleaner without the advanced features of other models. It was great at getting rid of pet hair, Cheerios and kitty litter on hardwood floors.

It maps rooms quickly and provides solid obstacle avoidance. It can also be manually controlled with the remote included.

1. Roomba from iRobot

The S9+ is the top robot vacuum we've tested for cleaning both hard floors and carpeting. It has the strongest suction of any robot cleaner available and does an excellent job of removing pet hair. It can be programmed to make multiple passes or adjust suction levels based on the size of the room, a feature that we haven't seen in other models. Its app lets you customize the way it operates and choose when it starts working, so you can stay in the room as it's moving.

The smart mapping feature creates an accurate map of your home, which can assist the s9+ to navigate and plan efficient routes. It is also self-emptying so you don't need to be there to help. It can also recharge itself mid-clean. In our tests the s9+ blasted over obstacles such as tables and power cables with ease and never lost its charge or got stuck. It scrubs the floor using the light touch that left my floors feeling and looking like they'd been thoroughly cleaned.

When it's done mopping the j7+ goes back to its dock and recharges. It then returns to where it started and resumes its cleaning. It usually runs for 85 minutes, or more or less, in my house before needing to return to the dock for a recharge. It's not as long as the s9+, but it's still impressive for a machine that does both vacuuming as well as mopping.

The j7+, as with other iRobot vacuum cleaners, is able to avoid obstacles and detects them. It also comes with what iRobot calls Cliff Detect Technology, which stops it from falling down stairs. It's a fantastic safety feature for families.

The onboard bin of the j7+ is small, which means you'll need to return it to the dock to empty it often if your home is large. However, the j7+ is incredibly easy to store. It has a large dirt container and can run for extended periods of time, and is effective at cleaning pet hair. It's difficult to maintain and navigation is a major issue. It does not have voice control or a companion app, however, it does have a simple to use remote. It also doesn't send you a notice when the dust box is full, so you'll have to check it often.

The eufy has many advantages over the Bobsweep Bob Pro, but in some areas it is not as good as iRobot Roomba 694. The iRobot Roomba 694 is better built, has fewer parts to maintain, a HEPA-filter, lasts longer with only one charge and provides superior cleaning performance for floors that are bare as well as high-pile and low-pile. It also comes with a smarter navigation system that can maneuver around obstacles and more advanced automation features, like boundary strips.
