Nissan Intelligent Key Fobs allow you to unlock the doors of your vehicle and start the engine with just a touch of a button. You can also activate presets to suit your preferences. For instance you can adjust the mirrors and seat for maximum comfort. You can even control the music from your smartphone, meaning you'll never have to leave your car.

Intelligent Key Fobs have an antenna that transmits signals to your car when you push a button or come close to it. When your vehicle receives this signal it activates the system, unlocking or locking doors, starting the engine, and also opening the trunk. To do this, take the key hidden in your key fob, then open its battery compartment. Remove the old battery and then place a brand new one in its place. Make sure that the positive side of the new one is facing the same direction as the old one did. Finally close the compartment for the battery and return the key to its concealed location inside the case.

Remote Start

Nissan remote start is a feature that allows drivers to heat or cool their car from outside the vehicle, if they are within the operating range. The ignition of the car is activated when a driver presses the button on the key fob or smartphone app. Remote start systems can also turn on the climate control to allow the driver to choose their preferred temperature. Certain systems have two-way communication, which lets the driver be aware of what's happening inside their vehicle.

If your car's remote start feature isn't functioning, the most likely reason is that the battery isn't working. The key fob uses an insignificant, replaceable battery that lasts for about two years before it needs to be replaced. Lockout Protection

Lockout protection can prevent nuisance lockouts caused by the impedance relay failing. A specific module within the power control unit checks the impedance relay's activity and then disables the output. This feature is accessible on vehicles with the Smart Key system, or by using the vehicle personalization menu.
