The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It has a great mopping performance but lacks some of the features found in its more expensive sibling.

In tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuum and mop best vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features such as the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automatic cleaning functions at the push of one button. You can select an overall clean that focuses on cleaning up larger debris like cereal and rice or two thorough maps of your space to ensure your entire home gets a proper look.

This robot vacuum performs well on both floors that are bare and low-pile carpet. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some others do and can clean up pet hair with ease. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot claims it will improve with the next models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It's a nice improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we discovered it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has a superior filtration system which blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think it's a nice statement but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, and establish virtual boundary markers, so that it is aware of areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of cleaning robot mop and vacuum your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only downside is that it does not have an additional rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but that's a small cost to pay for if you want to get one of the best combo robot vacuum mop robots available. The dust tank of the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors, and filling it takes just two or three cycles even when you've got a lot of dirt.

In terms of the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than the high-powered modes, produce very low noise, which means you can work or watch television without being distracted. If it comes across a wall or furniture piece, it gently bumps into it before moving forward.

What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The robo mops-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical trash into the bin hidden in the background and also cleans and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is capable of notifying you when something is in need of attention, for example, the clean water tank running low or a scheduled vacuuming session that was cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create or merge rooms to alter the way Q Revo handles your home. This feature is beneficial when you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from both carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can also vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend wiping them dry with a cloth before sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with a powerful suction to clean carpets and hard floors, plus the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also has a new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The most notable improvement to the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best budget robot vacuum with mop known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet in height and depth and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has faster battery charging and can handle a complete cleaning of around 1,500 square feet with just one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty when needed.

Finally, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and an assistant voice that works offline, so you can manage it even when away from home. It also has a smart routing function that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the top mopping robot. Its mop pads rotating clean tough stains and its motor generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent as well and it enhances suction when it detects carpets to ensure that it does the job well. It is equipped with a large rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end model that comes with a variety of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, identify different flooring types, and it's one of the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. Although these features are nice to have but they also make the L10s Ultra more in the category of luxury which could make it a little more expensive than what some homeowners need.

Created to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish enhanced by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which protects the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving around the house. Sensors are hidden behind the front panel, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that serves as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and send it back to its base station. The control panel is an oblique menu that lets you choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the settings of the app which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop with ease without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability, clearing 98.4% of debris from our hardwood floor test and removing all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops are also quite efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of debris from our wood, tile, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the floor or Quaker oats on carpet.
